This year we had the pleasant surprise in the studio of being invited to be part of the 7th edition of Jing\u2019an International Sculpture Project<\/strong> in Shanghai, China. It has been an exciting challenge and a great satisfaction to have managed to produce 3 large-scale works to be exhibited at the Jing\u2019an Sculpture Park and will be on display until December 31, 2023.<\/strong> With this milestone, the studio has managed to cross borders and show the work achieved with great effort to the Chinese market specifically and the Asian market in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JISP<\/strong> is deeply rooted in the heart of Shanghai`s historical and cultural core, Jing\u2019an District. Held Biennally, it has become a renowned public art and cultural brand in Shanghai and China.<\/strong> Since its inception in 2010, it has evolved from \u201cCity Fantasy\u201d, \u201cPride City\u201d, \u201cCity Paradise\u201d, \u201cCity Rebirth\u201d to \u201cCity Unbounded\u201d, narrating a decade-long journey of art education in Jing\u2019an and Shanghai. In 2020, JISP embarked on a new decade with the theme \u201cSpace\u201d, where the focus moves from city to spaces with last year\u00b4s \u201cReshaping Space\u201d, adopting a macro to micro perspective, and emphasizing iterative innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artist has participated in the biennial with 3 large-scale works Barricada 2, Barricada 9 and Barricada 18<\/strong> and in turn has been part of the panelists selected for the cycle of art conferences under the same theme \u201cSpace evolution\u201d<\/strong>, a platform that has given the opportunity to transmit part of his artistic research such as the intention to deconstruct the conventional perception of the plane using it as a compositional element, and then reshape the structure of space through interactive, free and unconstrained exploration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
